Nancy Groves is a medical social worker with over twenty years experience as an educator and therapist, counseling many patients facing serious and life-threatening illnesses. From those experiences came her first book, Facing Illness, Finding Peace (Pauline Books & Media, 2011). Life review is an important part of her work and affirms the value of each individual’s life. Remembering the richness of life, through each milestone and within the context of one’s faith, brings patients closer to their families and God. Mrs. Groves has presented seminars in hospital, university, and church settings on the emotional impact of serious illness and has served on the Michigan Department of Public Health AIDS Advisory Board. She is the author of numerous articles on grief and long-term illness. She is also the author of the self-published book A Grandparent’s Gift Of Memories—A Pilgrimage With The Saints.
