Browser Requirements - To shop at Pauline OnLine you will need a browser that supports SSL. Pauline OnLine requires that you have Netscape 3.0 (or newer) or Internet Explorer 4.0 (or newer.)

1. Are my transactions secure?

Pauline Books & Media offers a full-featured shopping and ordering system for your convenience and security. The ShopSite shopping cart system allows you to browse Pauline OnLine, placing the items you wish to order in a virtual shopping cart.

Pauline OnLine is committed to protecting any information we obtain in the fulfillment of your order. This includes, but is not limited to, all private information and credit card information.

Your personal information is protected by data encryption and secure-server technology. You will notice that your browser goes into "secure mode" because of the servers Digital Certificate. When your browser goes into "secure mode" you will notice a key or locked padlock on your screen. Browsers have these or similar indications that the site is using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and all information you enter is encrypted before it is sent over the internet. Our processing staff retrieves all orders from the server using secure web sessions.Your credit card information is never sent via e-mail—one of the least safe ways to send information.

Cookies

The software we have selected to run Pauline OnLine uses "cookies" (small bits of information obtained from your browser which are stored on your hard drive) in order to provide user-friendly features. This information is inaccessible to us once your browser is disconnected from our site.

2. What are my payment options?

Since all on-line orders must be prepaid, we offer a choice of MasterCard or Visa as the method of payment.

3. What if I don't want to order online?

All orders must be prepaid. However, if you do not wish to order online, you may print out the order and mail it with check or money order to:

4. How does the 10% discount work?

The Order Form will automatically deduct 10% from your order. Orders that are faxed or mailed in from the web order form also receive a 10% discount. Orders that are called in do not receive a 10% discount.

5. Will my e-mail address be used for anything besides my order?

We do not collect e-mail addresses from your orders. E-mail addresses voluntarily given us under Sign Up are used for the sole purpose of notifying individuals of updates and new releases. They are not distributed to anyone else.

If you change your mind and at any time no longer wish to receive e-mail notices from us in the future, please let us know by sending an e-mail message and telling us that you do not want to be on our e-mail address list (please include your full name and zip code along with the request not to receive further e-mail notices).

6. Will my postal address be used for anything besides my order?

Once you supply us with your postal address on-line, Pauline Books & Media will open an account for you in order to process your order. You may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products or upcoming events.

7. Will my phone number be used for anything besides my order?

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line may be contacted by telephone regarding orders placed on-line if information needs to be clarified. Please provide us with your correct daytime phone number. Your phone number will not be shared with other organizations.

8. How do I find out more information about a product I see in the catalog?

The products are listed by subject and product type. For more information on any product, click on the title. Where a hyperlink is provided, another page with the picture of the product and a longer write-up will appear. You can add products to your shopping cart from either the title listing or the more information page.

9. How do I use the shopping cart software?

Add any item to your shopping cart by clicking order.gif (981 bytes)

You can look at your shopping cart contents while you complete your order. You can remove items from your cart at any time until the "finalize order" screen is completed. This can be done in one of two ways: by hitting the "clear cart" button, or by setting the quantity to zero and then hitting the "recalculate" button. These buttons can be found at the foot of the order form screen.

If you need several copies of an item, you can increase the quantity to any number you desire.

Enter your shipping and payment details.

Click "Submit."

You will receive an e-mail receipt. Retain your receipt until you receive your shipment since you will have to refer to this receipt if there should be a shipment problem.

10. When I get to the shopping cart page, my browser tells me that the digital certificate on your server has expired.

The digital certificate on our server is up to date. The browser on your computer may not read the digital certificate correctly.  Internet Explorer 4.0 (or higher) or Netscape 3.0 (or higher) is required to shop at Pauline Online.

11. I can't find what I am looking for at Pauline Online.
