About our
Policies for individuals 18 years old and under

No information or orders should be submitted to Pauline OnLine by individuals 18 years old or younger without their parent's or guardian's consent. Addresses and/or any other information collected from children who may order on-line is subject to the same treatment as the information we receive from adults, except as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998.

We do not collect personal information on-line from children under 13 without their parent's consent, except in the following special circumstances:

  • we may collect a child's or parent's email address to provide notice and seek consent;
  • we may collect an email address to respond to a one-time request from a child and then delete it;
  • we may collect an email address to respond more than once to a specific request - such as a request for a subscription to a newsletter and we will notify the parent that we are communicating regularly with the child and give the parent the opportunity to stop the communication before sending or delivering a second communication to the child;
  • we may collect a child's name or online contact information to protect the safety of a child who is participating on the web site and we will notify the parent and give him or her the opportunity to prevent further use of the information;
  • we may collect a child's name or online contact information to protect the security or liability of the web site or to respond to law enforcement, if necessary, and will not use the child's name or online contact information for any other purpose.

The parent has the option to agree to the collection and use of the child's information without consenting to the disclosure of the information to third parties.

We do not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of participation.

The parent can ask to review the child's personal information, ask to have it deleted, and ask that we do not engage in any further collection or use of the child's information by contacting our customer service.
