2024 Retreat: AI and True Human Communication

This unique retreat experience takes participants on a journey through cinema to reflect together on our common human experience and the meaning of true human communication with the emergence of artificial intelligence as Pope Francis reflects in his 2024 World Communications Day message. With the practice of cinema divina, lectio divina with film, we enter into the reality of how we communicate with one another and God and the role of AI within human development.

There are two Film Retreat options this year, virtual and in-person. The one in-person is a weekend retreat and the virtual is a week-long retreat. Films are subject to change.  

 

IN-PERSON

AUGUST 2-4, 2024 - Weekend retreat

Held at the Pauline Center for Media Studies, 3908 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, CA. 

Cost: $150 per person 

All meals/snacks are included. Accommodations are not provided. 

RETREAT SCHEDULE:  Fri - 5pm-9pm PDT | Sat - 9am-9pm | Sun - 9am-12pm

 


 

VIRTUAL

AUGUST 5-9, 2024 - Week-long retreat

All films are to be watched on your own prior to our Zoom meeting which will be daily at 5:00pm PT / 8:00pm ET. All films are available on streaming platforms such as YouTube, Google Play, Amazon Prime, or Vudu for a small fee. Cinema Divina guides will be provided. 

THIS IS A VIRTUAL RETREAT Online access will be given after registration.

Cost: $60 per person
