“In the presence of the angels I will sing your praise!” (Ps. 138:1).
For the Chosen People, the Promised Land was move-in ready, “with houses you did not build and olive groves you did not plant” (see Dt. 6:11). Our “Promised Land” (a former warehouse) needs a bit of attention in order to be outfitted for the needs of our mission. We're on the move already! With a daily goal of $4,500, we hope that during this Webathon Novena, you can help us get to the Promised Land!
“The one who sings well, prays twice,” said the great St Augustine, who also admitted that the singing of the early Christians at Mass was one of the most important factors leading to his conversion to the Faith. The sisters of our choir know this well. Almost daily we hear from people whose lives have been touched by the sisters' music.
Sister Mary Emmanuel handles all the photography needed for album covers, concert posters and web pages. Without a photo studio big enough for the choir, she has to wait for the right kind of weather (hopefully with “diffused light” in the sky) to do photo shoots outside. Sister Mary Joseph designs the CD covers and labels, as well as preparing the layouts for catalog pages and mailers that let people know when a new album is released. Sister Mary Frances and Sister Christine make sure that the albums are shipped in a timely manner to stores, parishes, schools and, yes, individuals at home.
Your contribution to our Webathon furthers the reach of our sisters' music ministry by providing the necessary renovations in areas of our work that are easily overlooked. With your help, the physical plant will soon be suitably equipped with the necessary electrical and plumbing, heating and air, walls and flooring that will keep the music playing!

A Musician's Prayer
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thank you for the gift of music.
Thank you for giving us song, so that we can proclaim your word
in a way that is fitting, beautiful, and delightful.
Thank you for giving me a musical talent to share with your Church
and for allowing me to contribute to the liturgy through my song.
Conform my mind and heart to the inspired words I will sing.
May those who witness my delight in song
know that you are the true source of beauty and joy in life.
Jesus Master, may all those who respond to the beauty of this music
be taken up into my prayer.
Together, may we be strengthened in hope, in faith,
and in a spirit of praise of the one God,
supremely true and beautiful, the one and highest good.
