SUMMARY:Hello and Goodbye Drop In
DESCRIPTION:Comings and goings are woven into the missionary life of the Daughters of St. Paul — and March is giving us plenty to celebrate! \nOver the past two years\, many of you have come to know and love Sister Margaret Timothy. Now she’s heading west\, having been appointed Superior of our community in Los Angeles. While we’ll miss her joyful presence here in Old Town Alexandria\, we know she’ll be a blessing to her new community. \nStepping into the role of Superior here at home is another familiar and much-loved face from the Book Center: Sister Joan Paula. We’re delighted to welcome her in this new leadership role! \nAnd we are thrilled to introduce Sr. Phoebe\, a native of Alexandria\, who has just made her first profession and has been assigned to our community! What a joy to welcome one of our own back home as a newly professed sister. \nLike our father\, Saint Paul the Apostle\, our mission keeps us on the move — preaching\, publishing\, and planting seeds of faith wherever we’re sent. \nSo mark your calendar! Join us for an informal drop-in gathering on March 14 from 1:30–3:30 pm. Come say goodbye\, welcome our sisters\, and celebrate the beautiful adventure of religious life. We’d love to see you!

SUMMARY:New Year Mini-Morning of Reflection
DESCRIPTION:New Year Mini-Morning of Reflection\nSaturday\, January 17 from 9:30am to 11:00am\n\nThere is something about the first month of the year. We’re tired. We’re transitioning into a new year. We’re facing everything that this might mean for us and our families. We’re told to make perfect resolutions for an outstanding new beginning.\nWhat is true is this: we are in a liminal space between what has been and what will be. We might feel vulnerable\, uncertain\, excited  but unsure.\n\nTo welcome the new\, we need to say good-bye to the past with peace.\nTo welcome the new\, we need to let go of the pressure to conform\, to be perfect\, to succeed.\nTo find our way in 2026 we can relax into a rhythm of entrustment and surrender and trust.\n\nThe new year can be cherished and welcomed\, when we know we’re safe in the love God has for us. That he sees us. That he knows what we tell no one else. That he cares for us as no one else ever could.\nSo if that’s you\, join us online Saturday morning January 17 from 9:30am to 11:00am. Prayer\, reflection\, entrusting\, surrendering\, interceding\, and sharing with others your desires for 2026.\n\nRegister here to receive the Zoom link and reminder: https://forms.gle/yhWTKPRseeSKU7U69\nVenue: Zoom Meeting
