Day Retreat: How Should We Pray When We Suffer?

Day Retreat: How Should We Pray When We Suffer?
with Fr. Taban Patrick Consantino, SJ

Fr. Taban will utilize Ignatian spirituality, which is about discovering God in all things, particularly our suffering. He will draw inspiration from real-life situations and the wisdom of the Bible to guide retreat participants in reflecting on their approach to suffering. This will help to see Christ as a personal example of accepting suffering. This is a significant topic, especially considering the challenging environment that Fr. Taban grew up in and the current struggles that many people are facing in their faith journey.

Fr. Taban Patrick Consantino, SJ is a South Sudanese Jesuit priest currently studying for an MFA in Film and Television Production. He is a Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS) International Board of Directors member and a dedicated advocate for peace and justice. His commitment to the cause is evident in his involvement with the South Sudan JRS country office, where he served in the communications department. He is driven by a profound empathy for the poor and marginalized, mainly the displaced, and his vision is to use the medium of film to tell their stories.

Lunch included with retreat. 4pm Mass also available. Please RSVP. Suggested donation: $30.
