Sr Nancy Usselmann, FSP is the Director of Pauline Media Studies in Los Angeles. She is a Media Literacy Educator, theologian, writer, international speaker, and film/TV reviewer. She is the author of Media Fasting: Six Weeks to Recharge in Christ (Pauline Books & Media) and A Sacred Look: Becoming Cultural Mystics (Wipf & Stock), a theology of popular culture.
Sr. Nancy has an MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and certificates in Catechetics and Media Literacy Education. As a Candidate for a Doctorate in Ministry at the Catholic University of America, she is developing the Media Mindfulness Catechetical model which helps people integrate faith with their media use.
Her expertise involves teaching people how to live well with social media and on how faith supports good storytelling through a developed sacramental imagination. When not on film panels around Hollywood or interviewing at red carpet premieres, Sr. Nancy can be found baking and cooking up a feast for her community of Sisters.
