As Daughters of St. Paul, our mission is to build up the Body of Christ by communicating his love in today’s world. Here in St. Louis, our Pauline Books & Media Center in Crestwood is our home base for inviting God’s people into an encounter with his Word, whether at our book center or on the road through our evangelization and outreach team. We are also proud to host the main office for our North American province’s Korean mission.

Since 1971, Pauline Books & Media has been a trusted source for Catholic books and gifts in St. Louis. Each item in our wide selection, from Scripture to spirituality to sacramental gifts and beyond, has been chosen directly by our sisters as the fruit of personal encounters with our patrons and their needs. We value our deep, long-lasting ties with our local community, and it is our privilege to accompany each person who visits us in their journey with Christ.
What sets our space apart from traditional bookstores is the beating heart of our ministry: the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in our chapel, open to the public for prayer during book center hours.
We especially invite you to join us for Eucharistic Adoration on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, 10 am to 5 pm.
Through our rotating schedule of programming for all ages, we seek to build up the local Church by providing opportunities to encounter the Lord through prayer, become more deeply rooted in the Catholic faith, and establish strong Christ-centered community relationships. Our offerings include occasions for prayer and vocational discernment; faith formation through book clubs, talks, and workshops; and our signature annual children’s events: a Summer Storytime series, the Risen Jesus Party (Easter), and the Baby Jesus Party (Christmas).
Just like our patron Saint Paul, our sisters are always on the road bringing the Good News to God’s people. We host book fairs at parishes, schools, and conferences across the region. We also give presentations and talks on vocational discernment, prayer, and Pauline spirituality, among other topics. You’ll find us leading prayer experiences such as guided Eucharistic Adoration and mornings of recollection as well.
To inquire about having a book fair and/or inviting a sister to speak at your parish, school, or conference, contact our evangelization team.
From St. Louis, we minister to the hundreds of thousands of Korean Catholics across the United States and Canada through parish missions, book displays, online book clubs, and more. As the North American distributor of the publications of the Daughters of St. Paul in Korea, we are able to provide invaluable resources for faith formation through the distribution of Korean-language books.
Our sisters regularly host opportunities for vocational discernment, providing a space for young women to find out more about religious life and pray about where God is calling them. To learn about opportunities near you or to speak with a sister about vocational discernment, get in touch with us. Know that we are praying for you!
Are you a lay person who is feeling called to share in the mission of proclaiming God’s Word through the media? We invite you to learn more about the Association of Pauline Cooperators. Contact us for information about how you can get involved.

“There is no Catholic bookstore quite like Pauline. The nuns are amazing and knowledgeable. Their selection is phenomenal, and they have books that exude quality and spirituality. Their chapel is a wonderful place to pray. Hospitality and friendliness is the norm.”

“Great service, wide selection of Catholic reading materials and gifts. This place has a chapel. That alone is worth 5 stars in my book.”
