Prayer to Be Mindful of Our Media Use

Lord God, we come before you with grateful hearts, acknowledging the many blessings you’ve given us, including the gift of technology and communication. Yet, we recognize how easily we can become distracted by the constant flow of digital information and entertainment, losing focus on what truly matters.

Help us to be more mindful of the way we engage with our media. Grant us the wisdom to discern when to pause and disconnect, so to become more aware of your presence in our lives.

Guide us to use media in ways that uplift, educate, and inspire rather than distract or overwhelm. Teach us to balance our time wisely, not letting the noise of the digital world drown out your still, small voice. Open our hearts to your guidance, that our media use may be a reflection of your light.

Grant that we find moments to break from the hold of technology on our lives and reconnect with the world beyond the screen—so that we may honor you in all we do and reflect your love to the world.

We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
